Those who suffer a brain injury, stroke, neurdegenrative disease, or spinal cord injury often experience muscle spasticity, clinching of the muscles in disabled limbs, and learned nonuse, or the brain forgetting how to use muscles that are no longer in use due to paralysis of limbs. These spastic muscles often cause pain and can impact the patient’s life significantly. Muscles must be stretched and worked to keep these things from happening.  TAO has inlicensed and is currently prototyping and testing a device to help treat this painful and dibilitating condition.  As with many of TAO's products and technologies, this technology can be used by both rehabilitation professionals, as well as family caregivers for these patients.
